Hellevator (2016)

Plot: Contestants form a 3-person team to take on 3 horror-themed challenges. Contestants that complete the solo challenges move on to the final labyrinth challenge as a team for a chance to win some more bonus cash.

Review: Hellevator is a game-show tv series, currently playing on Netflix. It is hosted by the twisted twins Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska, who are known for directing the American Mary.

Hellevator is inspired by true crime stories. Each episode imitates an eerie scene invoked by one of the “Seven Deadly Sins” (envy, lust, pride, wrath, greed, gluttony and sloth).

Don’t expect the game show to be scary even though it has the horror aspect to it. However, if you want a good laugh, especially at the people who are completing the challenges I would highly recommend it.

FYI: Estate of Panic was a similar game show that ran for six episodes before it got cancelled.

Genre: horror game

Rating: 4 Hammer Smashed Faces out of 5
