Skins (2017)

Plot: In a strange world where people share numerous deformities, the same problem we all face challenges each of them: to find someone who accepts you as you are. Sometimes, that means finding yourself first.

Review: Skins (Pieles) is a very unique movie unlike I have ever seen before. It’s artsy, funny, sad, symbolic, gross and just over all brilliant. It tackles many subjects such as mental illness, deformities, sex fetishes and even pedophilia. If you can understand the hidden messages and symbolism behind Skins and appreciate the creativity, you will enjoy this movie. Eduardo Casanova is one talented director with a brilliant mind. I’m looking forward to seeing more of his movies. Skins is now available on Netflix.

FYI: If you enjoyed this movie, you can see Eduardo Casanova’s short Eat My Shit, where one of the characters is in Skins as well.

Genre: body horror, psychological, disturbing

Rating: 5 Hammer Smashed Faces out of 5
